FC Twente prepares for Conference League away match against Lincoln Red Imps

FC Twente is traveling to Gibraltar for their second UEFA Conference League league phase match against Lincoln Red Imps. Following a 1-0 victory over FC Thun in their opening fixture, manager John van den Brom has expressed a desire to secure another win to stay on track for a top-eight finish in the competition.

Twente faces some squad challenges, as Norwegian attacker Filip Thorvaldsen missed the trip due to an injury sustained during training. However, captain Robin Pröpper is confirmed fit and expected to start. The team will also be playing on artificial turf at the Europa Point Stadium, a condition the coaching staff says they are well-prepared for.

Lincoln Red Imps, the reigning champions of Gibraltar, enter the match following a 2-1 defeat to SK Brann in their first European outing. While local media describes Twente as a “European giant” compared to the Gibraltarian side, Lincoln Red Imps has established a consistent presence in the Conference League in recent seasons.
