FC Twente defeats Lincoln Red Imps 4-1 in Conference League

FC Twente secured their second consecutive victory in the Conference League group stage with a 4-1 win against Lincoln Red Imps in Gibraltar. Thomas van den Belt was the standout performer, scoring twice, while Wout Weghorst and Daouda Weidmann also found the net.

Despite dominating much of the match, Twente allowed Lincoln Red Imps to narrow the gap to 1-2 before halftime following a free kick by Nano. However, the Dutch side regained control in the second half to secure the win. The victory gives Twente a perfect start to the tournament with six points from two matches.

Separately, FC Twente faces potential logistical challenges for their upcoming away match against Aarhus GF. Due to safety concerns regarding the structural integrity of the Mascot tribune at the temporary venue in Cepheus Park, a section of the stadium has been closed. It remains unclear if this will affect the availability of tickets for traveling Twente supporters.
