FCSB official and youth coach face disciplinary controversies in Romania
FCSB official Mihai Stoica and youth coach Mihai Lungu are facing separate disciplinary issues within Romanian football.
Stoica, the club's administrator, is involved in a heated dispute with Gheorghe Mustață, leader of the Peluza Nord supporters group. The conflict stems from grievances regarding the club's academy and Stoica's perceived attitude toward fans. Mustață has announced a cessation of dialogue with Stoica, citing a lack of respect and concerns over irregularities at the youth training center. Stoica has defended his actions, stating he was unaware of a fan visit and arguing that supporters should not comment on player performance.
Separately, coach Mihai Lungu has been sanctioned following an incident during a junior match between ACS Husana Huși and Standard Vaslui. Lungu was accused of grabbing a child by the neck after a misplaced pass. The Vaslui County Football Association (AJF Vaslui) suspended Lungu for one year and issued a 3,000 lei fine. Additionally, AJF Vaslui has requested the Romanian Football Federation to suspend his coaching license for two years, contingent upon the completion of a safeguarding course. Local police have also opened a criminal investigation into the assault.
