FCSB remains under FIFA transfer ban over unpaid debt

FCSB remains under a FIFA transfer ban due to an unpaid debt of approximately 50,000 euros owed to former player William Baeten. The dispute stems from a bonus Baeten claims he was entitled to following the club's qualification for the Europa League main phase in 2024.

Although owner Gigi Becali indicated intentions to settle the amount and lift the restriction, the debt remained unpaid as of late September. FIFA has ruled in favor of the Belgian player, maintaining the transfer prohibition until the financial obligation is met.
