Summit Foods recalls wraps sold in UK supermarkets due to E. coli risk

Summit Foods is recalling several varieties of filled wraps sold at major UK supermarkets, including Sainsbury's, Morrisons, and Aldi, due to potential contamination with Shiga-toxin producing E. coli (STEC).

The recalled products include the Snacksters Chicken Fajita Wrap, Snacksters Hoi Sin Wrap, East Street Deli Sweet Chilli Chicken Wrap, and Target a Snack Chicken Fajita Wrap. All affected items have use-by dates up to and including September 5, 2026.

Health authorities warn that E. coli infection can cause severe diarrhoea and abdominal pain, and in some cases, haemolytic uremic syndrome, which may lead to kidney failure. The Food Standards Agency advises consumers not to eat the products and to return them to the store for a refund.
