FBiH Government sets 2026 veteran benefit rates and coefficients

The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has adopted six decisions regarding the coefficients, bases, and amounts for veteran benefits planned in the 2026 budget. These measures are part of a program to improve the socio-economic status of the veteran population and preserve the achievements of the defensive-liberation war.

Key determinations include an existential benefit of 6.44 KM for each month served in the Armed Forces for demobilized defenders and their families for the period of July to December 2026. Additionally, the base for veteran-disability protection (disability pensions) has been set at 1,216.02 KM for the period of July to December 2026. A coefficient of one has been established for the calculation and payment of monthly benefits for recipients of war recognitions and decorations.

In a separate decision, the government approved 195,679.14 KM to cover outstanding pension and disability insurance obligations and the integration of working seniority for eight workers from the Breza Coal Mine (RMU Breza) who had not yet met retirement conditions.
