Federica Brignone undergoes successful knee surgery in Milan

Italian alpine skier Federica Brignone has successfully undergone surgery at the La Madonnina clinic in Milan to remove metal plates and screws from her left knee. The procedure was performed by Dr. Andrea Panzeri to address persistent pain and difficulties following an injury sustained in April 2025.

Brignone reported that the operation was a success and noted that she will use crutches for a few days before beginning physiotherapy. Her physiotherapist, Luigi Devizzi, observed that her knee appeared in good condition, without swelling or irritation, prior to the intervention.

The athlete's recovery plan includes physiotherapy and subsequent athletic preparation, with the goal of returning to competition for the upcoming World Championships in Crans-Montana.
