Federico Ayllón assumes leadership of UCR in La Plata

Federico ‘Fefo’ Ayllón has assumed the presidency of the Central Board of the Unión Cívica Radical (UCR) in La Plata. His appointment follows an agreement between various internal sectors of the local party and succeeds Pablo Nicoletti, who has moved to a provincial role.

Alongside Ayllón, several other leaders took office, including Vice President Laura Busse, General Secretary Leandro Bazze, and Youth President Juan Ardiles. The leadership transition is part of a broader reorganization process within the party in both La Plata and the Buenos Aires province.

The new administration faces the challenge of restoring internal unity and regaining political and electoral influence in the city. Ayllón expressed the intention to expand the party's territorial presence, mentioning plans to open new committees in areas such as City Bell, Villa Elvira, and Los Hornos to establish the UCR as a political alternative.
