Federico Chiesa linked to potential Serie A return in January

Liverpool winger Federico Chiesa may return to Italy during the upcoming winter transfer window. After joining the club from Juventus in August 2024, the 28-year-old has struggled to secure regular playing time at Anfield.

Chiesa has faced challenges including a back injury that has kept him sidelined this season, and he was notably excluded from Liverpool’s Champions League squad. His statistical impact has been limited, recording three goals and three assists in 36 appearances since his arrival.

Several Serie A clubs are reportedly monitoring his situation. Potential suitors include AS Roma, Inter Milan, Atalanta, and Bologna. While previous discussions involving Roma were reportedly hindered by Chiesa’s salary, Italian clubs remain interested in evaluating a move in January to bolster their attacking options.
