RFEF issues sanctions following Madrid derby

The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) Disciplinary Committee has issued several sanctions following recent matches, most notably stemming from the Madrid derby between Atlético de Madrid and Real Madrid.

Dean Huijsen has received a one-match suspension following his dismissal for a foul on Giuliano Simeone. Additionally, Real Madrid’s Pedro Luis Ferreira and Atlético de Madrid’s Ignacio Pablo Vercellone have both been handed one-match bans. Other players cited in the disciplinary proceedings include Jude Bellingham and Cuti Romero for dangerous play, as well as Dumfries and Marc Pubill for various infractions.

Real Madrid also received a formal warning from the committee regarding the necessity of strictly adhering to official match schedules, specifically following a delay in the start of the second half during the derby.
