Fegda to repair access road to Rudninkai military training area

The construction company Fegda has received approval for a project to repair and reinforce the 4.35 km access road leading to the Rudninkai military training area. The project, which was coordinated with the Ministry of National Defence, the Infrastructure Management Agency, and the Lithuanian Armed Forces, aims to strengthen the road foundations and install a new concrete surface.

The repairs will be conducted at the company's own expense following previous issues with the quality of a reinforced concrete road laid in 2023. The project is designed to meet the technical requirements of both the Lithuanian and allied militaries, specifically supporting infrastructure for the German brigade stationed at the training area.

Construction is set to begin immediately according to a coordinated schedule, with the goal of completing the works by the end of this year. While the total cost has not been officially confirmed, previous estimates from company leadership suggested the project could cost approximately 3 million euros.
