Fehim Sali, a resident of Dragash, has been arrested on suspicion of espionage for the Serbian Intelligence Service (BIA). During a detention hearing at the Basic Court in Pristina, Sali admitted to being recruited by the BIA and maintaining regular contact with its officials.

Prosecutor Bekim Kodraliu stated that evidence obtained through cooperation between the Kosovo Police and the Kosovo Intelligence Agency (AKI) confirms Sali's involvement. The investigation, which has been ongoing for over a year, suggests Sali provided political information regarding Kosovo, identified AKI officials through photography, and provided information on individuals belonging to the Wahhabi sect. He also allegedly proposed certain individuals as potential targets for BIA recruitment.

Following his arrest at the Merdar border crossing, the Special Prosecution of Kosovo requested one month of pre-trial detention. Judge Kushtrim Shyti ordered the detention to last until September 13, 2026, citing risks of flight, witness interference, and the potential for continued criminal activity. Authorities have seized mobile phones and cash during raids related to the case.
