Feira de Santana and Dourados commence municipal road and median upgrades

In Feira de Santana, the municipal Secretary of Infrastructure João Vianey supervised the start of night‑time asphalt rehabilitation on Avenida Presidente Dutra. The work focuses on the segment between Avenida Santo Antônio and the Anel de Contorno viaduct, where heavy vehicle traffic has caused significant wear. A milling machine removes the old surface and a hot‑mix concrete layer is laid, with traffic diverted to adjacent lanes to limit driver disruption.

In Dourados, Mayor Marçal Filho and Urban Services Secretary Luis Roberto Martins inaugurated the revitalization of four central medians, beginning on Avenida Marcelino Pires. The project, contracted to M E Engenharia Ltda for R$ 358,773, includes protective nets, new 1.5‑metre concrete sidewalks, landscaping, lowered lighting, three‑metre‑wide pedestrian overpasses, bicycle racks and upgraded accessibility. Completion is planned within six months. Both initiatives aim to improve traffic flow, safety and the visual quality of public streets.
