Feira de Santana calls new public‑service hires and readies closed‑door municipal hospital

The municipal government of Feira de Santana issued a second call on 31 May for candidates approved in Public Competition No. 01/2024, setting a 30‑day deadline for candidates to present documentation and complete medical exams. The call fulfills a Term of Adjustment of Conduct signed with the Bahia State Public Prosecutor’s Office, which mandates the filling of the announced positions.

Mayor José Ronaldo announced that the new municipal hospital, now in the final licensing stage, will operate as a closed‑door facility serving only transferred patients. The hospital will have 110 beds, including 10 intensive‑care beds, and will not provide emergency or urgent care, which will continue to be handled by the city’s UPAs and polyclinics. The project is being executed through a public‑private partnership and the winning consortium was published in the municipal official diary on 29 May.
