Feira de Santana Expofeira 2026 sees high transit usage

The 47th Expofeira in Feira de Santana concluded with significant turnout, highlighted by the success of the free 'Expresso Expofeira' shuttle service. During the eight-day event, the service transported 32,359 passengers using a fleet of 30 vehicles provided by companies Rosa and São João.

To manage traffic flow, the municipal government implemented a specific mobility strategy. While buses utilized the BR-324 highway to reach the João Martins da Silva Exhibition Park, private vehicles were directed through Avenida Noide Cerqueira due to Federal Highway Police (PRF) restrictions on private cars using the BR-324.

Mayor José Ronaldo de Carvalho described the edition as a major success, noting that the use of a private parking area at a former ceramics site helped alleviate congestion. Looking ahead to Expofeira 2027, the city administration plans to evaluate improvements to the Noide Cerqueira access routes to further facilitate visitor arrival.
