Feira de Santana moves ahead with Olhos d'Água Linear Park construction
Mayor José Ronaldo de Carvalho inspected the site of the planned Olhos d'Água Linear Park in Feira de Santana on Saturday, overseeing cleanup and preparatory work. Municipal teams cleared debris, removed illegal waste dumps, and repaved streets around the future park area on Rua Dr. Macário Cerqueira.
The project, costing more than R$ 10 million, will stretch over 600 metres along the local stream, serving the Feira X residential complex, the Muchila neighbourhood and surrounding areas. Planned facilities include a running track, playground, grassed areas, modern lighting, pedestrian overpasses and a new Health Academy. Officials said the park will provide leisure, sport and social space for thousands of residents, enhancing urban mobility, environmental preservation and quality of life.
