Femern Link Contractors hit by cyberattack stealing personal data

Femern Link Contractors (FLC), the main contractor for the Femern tunnel project, has confirmed that a cyberattack on October 11 resulted in the theft of a large amount of sensitive personal information.

An internal nine-page letter sent to employees by project manager Hakim Naceur revealed that the breach targeted FLC's IT systems. The attack caused construction activities at the site to come to a near standstill for several days. While FLC is managing the incident and has notified potentially affected staff, Sund & Bælt stated there are currently no indications that its own systems were compromised by the breach.
