Femi Azeez faces fitness test ahead of Brighton vs Manchester United cup tie

Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Femi Azeez will undergo a late fitness test before the club’s Carabao Cup third-round match against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Azeez, who joined Brighton from Millwall on transfer deadline day, has been sidelined by a minor hamstring injury sustained during Millwall’s opening match against Bristol City. Head coach Fabian Hurzeler confirmed that the player’s availability will be determined following an assessment in training.

Brighton will also be without fellow Nigerian player Zadok Yohanna, who is expected to return after the international break. The Seagulls enter the cup tie following a 5-0 victory over Coventry City.
