Fenadismer warns Spanish drivers of diesel shortages in France

The National Federation of Transport Associations of Spain (Fenadismer) has issued an urgent recommendation to Spanish transport companies and independent drivers traveling to or through France. Drivers are advised to fill their fuel tanks to maximum capacity before crossing the border to avoid being immobilized by diesel shortages within French territory.

Reports indicate that approximately 90% of fuel availability incidents are concentrated at TotalEnergies service stations. The shortage is attributed to geopolitical tensions that have blocked imports from the Middle East, which previously accounted for one-third of France's diesel supply.

Additionally, the French Treasury Directorate General has warned of significant delays from alternative suppliers and sharply rising maritime transport costs. Fenadismer suggests that drivers should also monitor fuel levels more frequently than usual and plan trips with the expectation of limited availability along major French transport corridors.
