Fenerbahce targets Inter Milan's Hakan Calhanoglu

Fenerbahce has initiated contact with representatives of Inter Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu to discuss a potential transfer during the current summer window. The Turkish club is looking to bring the playmaker back to his home country.

Calhanoglu has entered the final year of his contract with Inter Milan. To avoid losing him on a free transfer in less than 12 months, the Italian club has set a valuation of €25 million. Despite injury setbacks last season, Calhanoglu recorded nine goals and four assists in 22 Serie A appearances.

Fenerbahce's ability to complete the deal may depend on their performance in the UEFA Champions League qualifying playoffs against Lyon. Success in reaching the main draw would provide the financial boost necessary to meet Inter Milan's asking price, especially following the club's significant recent expenditures on players like Mason Greenwood and Romelu Lukaku.
