Fenerbahçe wins third place at IBT Crete tournament

Fenerbahçe secured third place at the IBT Crete 2026 international basketball tournament following an 81-79 victory over Armani Milano in Heraklion, Greece.

Fenerbahçe established an early lead, reaching a 12-point advantage in the first quarter. However, Armani Milano responded strongly, closing the gap and even building a six-point lead during the second quarter. The match remained highly competitive, entering a tie at 60-60 in the third quarter.

The game was decided in the final seconds. Despite a late basket by Trent Forrest, Savon Shields secured the win for Fenerbahçe with a successful free throw in the closing moments. For Fenerbahçe, Will Clyburn led the scoring with 13 points, while Johnny Olynyk added 12. Armani Milano was led by Moses Wright, who scored 20 points but missed a critical two-point shot late in the game. Alec Peters recorded a double-double for the Italian side with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
