Feria de Torreón: Minor suspended from Ferris wheel

A minor was left suspended from a Ferris wheel at the Feria de Torreón during the early hours of October 1. The incident occurred around 12:30 AM when the child separated from his father and entered a restricted area intended for the exit of users.

According to reports from Protección Civil, the child climbed the iron structure of the attraction and became attached to the exterior of a passenger basket. As the wheel began to move, the child was lifted several meters into the air. Operators from the company Espectaculares García immediately activated emergency protocols and halted the ride to prevent the basket from reaching a higher altitude.

Authorities stated that no technical failures were detected in the machinery. The incident was attributed to the minor entering an unauthorized zone. No injuries were reported, and the child was brought to safety through maneuvers performed by staff and bystanders. Local authorities are continuing to review the operation of the attraction.
