Fernando Cerimedo undergoes medical evaluation at Palmasola prison

Political advisor Fernando Cerimedo is undergoing medical evaluation at the Palmasola prison after suffering a health crisis on Friday. His lawyer, Ernesto Giraldes, stated that Cerimedo experienced high blood pressure, tachycardia, and stress-related complications following his arrest three weeks ago.

Medical staff at Palmasola stabilized Cerimedo, and authorities are currently determining if he requires transfer to an external hospital with better medical facilities.

In addition to his health concerns, Cerimedo’s legal team is contesting a judicial order to transfer him from the Santa Cruz facility to the Chonchocoro prison in La Paz. The defense is arguing to uphold the original August 21 order that placed him in Palmasola regarding an investigation into the attempted feminicide of his former partner, Nadia Beller.
