Fernando Clavijo sets priorities for Canary Islands legislature

Fernando Clavijo, President of the Canary Islands and Secretary General of Coalición Canaria, has identified three primary priorities to address before the end of his current legislative term. These key areas include the European Union's multi-annual financial framework, housing issues, and regional financing for essential public services.

Clavijo noted that while there have been improvements in healthcare, employment, and disability services, the housing sector remains a significant challenge. He highlighted that despite various measures, the time required from policy adoption to construction often spans several years due to the involvement of multiple agents. Additionally, he addressed the impact of inflation on family purchasing power despite wage increases.
