Ferran Adrià's new series 'Gènesi' premieres at San Sebastián Film Festival

The new series “Gènesi”, directed by David Pujol, premiered at the San Sebastián International Film Festival. The production chronicles the gastronomic revolution led by Ferran Adrià and the rise of his restaurant, El Bulli, from its beginnings in the 1980s to its status as a global culinary phenomenon.

Starring Miquel Fernández as Ferran Adrià, the six-episode drama aims to showcase authentic culinary artistry. The production included the recreation of approximately 70 iconic dishes selected from the 1,846 recipes originally prepared at El Bulli. Adrià has expressed strong support for the project, noting its importance in providing visibility to the culinary innovations that originated in Catalonia.

Following its debut on TV3 and the 3Cat platform, the series is set for international distribution via Netflix, which will release it in Spain, Latin America, and the United States in November.
