Ferrari 250 GT Cabriolet crowned Best of Show at Venice classic car concours
The fifth edition of the RIVS "Stelle sul Liston" concours d'eleganza took place in Venice, opening on 10 October at Expo Aquae and concluding with a parade on the historic Caffè Pedrocchi square. The Best‑of‑Show award went to a Ferrari 250 GT Cabriolet built by Pininfarina, a rare example once owned by driver Wolfgang von Trips. Judges, including designer Leonardo Fioravanti and Fabio Lamborghini, also honoured a Lancia Aprilia Convertibile, a Bianchi S9 and other historic models. The public’s favorite was a Bugatti T‑57 Ventoux.
Meanwhile, the Villa d’Este Concours d’Eleganza on Lake Como showcased over 70 collectible cars, drawing attention to ultra‑rare examples such as a Ferrari Daytona SP3, a Pagani Zonda Unica, a one‑off Mercedes‑Benz Boschert B300 Biturbo Gullwing Coupé and a Sauber‑BMW M1. Auction estimates for the lineup reached multi‑million‑dollar levels, underscoring the high market value of these historic vehicles.
