Ferrari to debut engine upgrade and Schumacher tribute at Monza

Ferrari is introducing significant technical and commemorative updates for the upcoming Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix at Monza. Utilizing the Additional Development and Upgrade Opportunities (ADUO) system, the team will debut a new power unit (code 067/7) featuring a revised combustion chamber and turbocharger. This upgrade is expected to provide approximately 15 horsepower, aiming to reduce the performance gap with Mercedes by half. The technical package also includes a more aerodynamically efficient version of the Macarena rear wing and adjustable blown exhaust components to minimize drag.

Alongside these performance upgrades, Scuderia Ferrari will honor the legacy of Michael Schumacher. To mark the 30th anniversary of his first season and first victory at Monza, drivers Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc will wear special racing suits featuring seven stars to represent Schumacher’s world titles, along with his signature and logo. The team also plans to use a special celebratory livery to commemorate the legendary driver during the home race weekend.
