Ferrari honors Michael Schumacher at Monza with F2002 demonstrations

During the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix weekend at Monza, Ferrari staged a tribute to seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher. The event featured demonstrations using the iconic Ferrari F2002, a V10-powered car central to Schumacher’s championship success.

Rubens Barrichello, who raced for Ferrari alongside Schumacher from 2000 to 2005, drove the F2002 on Saturday. Sebastian Vettel also operated the historic machine before Sunday’s Grand Prix. While participating in the emotional event, Vettel reaffirmed his decision to remain retired from Formula 1 racing. Despite the sentimental experience of driving the historic car and the nostalgia of being in the paddock, Vettel stated he has no intention of returning as a driver, test driver, or simulator specialist at this time, preferring to focus on life after his racing career.
