Ferrari unveils electric supercar Luce, tested by Hamilton and Leclerc

Ferrari released its first fully electric supercar, the Luce, in a series of videos that feature Formula 1 champions Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc driving the prototype. In the footage the drivers describe the car as feeling like a roller‑coaster, light, and note the distinctive electric‑guitar‑like motor sound Ferrari engineered by amplifying the motor’s natural vibrations.

The Luce delivers 1,050 horsepower, 990 Nm of torque, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of about 310 km/h. Priced at roughly €550,000, Ferrari stressed that the model is unrelated to low‑cost Chinese electric vehicles. Following the presentation the company’s share price on the Milan stock exchange dipped.

Ferrari highlighted innovative braking technology that combines regenerative energy recovery with conventional brakes, and retained the familiar paddle‑shift controls on the steering wheel.
