Festivals enliven Ptuj, Pićan and Kosjerić this weekend

Ptuj, Slovenia, opens its summer weekend with a varied programme that includes a music story for children, a macramé workshop, film screenings of "Minioni and monsters" and the sci‑fi "Project Last Hope", a beer‑in‑dark tasting, and concerts featuring the award‑winning New York Voices and virtuoso violinist Luka Šulić.

In Pićan, Croatia, the two‑day Šćorice festival runs on 24‑25 July. Municipal leaders highlighted more than 50 activities such as concerts, theatrical performances, workshops and exhibitions that celebrate local myths, legends and folk traditions. The event is organised by the town council together with cultural societies and school teachers.

Kosjerić, Serbia, hosts the "Čobanski dani" cultural‑tourist gathering from 24‑26 July. The programme features a traditional singing contest, a hand‑crafts exhibition, presentations of regional dishes, shepherd games, and the selection of the best shepherdess and pair. Participants include groups from the sister town in Montenegro, emphasizing shared heritage.
