Festus Keyamo claims Kwankwaso allies are defecting to APC

Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has claimed that political allies of Rabiu Kwankwaso are defecting to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in large numbers ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The comments follow the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, welcoming several high-profile politicians into the party in Kano State. Defectors include Sen. Rufa’i Sani Hanga, Sen. Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya, and Sen. Mas’ud Eljibrin Doguwa, the Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) Fruit Faction. Other officials joining the APC include Hon. Ali Datti Yako and Hon. Badaru Umar.

Keyamo stated on social media that these movements represent the henchmen of Kwankwaso leaving him for the APC, predicting that the voters of Kano State will eventually align with the APC in 2027.
