FesTVal festival highlights new Spanish TV programming and RTVE awards

The XVIII edition of the FesTVal Television Festival in Vitoria-Gasteiz, scheduled for September 7 to 12, will showcase upcoming programming from major Spanish networks including RTVE, Atresmedia, Mediaset, and Movistar Plus+.

La Séptima, a new private television project led by José Miguel Contreras, will make its first public appearance at the festival to present its programming and talent lineup, which includes Javier Ruiz, Rocío Delgado, Alba Carrillo, and Marta Márquez. Mediaset España will also present the series ‘Marusía. Vientos de honor,’ a drama set within the Spanish Navy.

RTVE received three awards during the festival: a recognition of its 70th anniversary, an award for journalist Jesús Cintoray, and an award for the series ‘Valle salvaje.’ The jury specifically highlighted the evolution of RTVE Play as a key element of the public broadcaster’s modern multiplatform strategy.
