Fethiye hosts 26th International Ölüdeniz Air Games Festival

The 26th International Ölüdeniz Air Games Festival has officially commenced in Fethiye, with opening ceremonies held at Belcekız Beach. The event, running from October 21 to 25, 2026, features a variety of aerial activities including paragliding acrobatics, freefall skydiving, wingsuit flying, motorized paragliding, and hot air balloon displays.

A highlight of the festival includes a performance by the Turkish Air Force's aerobatic team, the Türk Yıldızları, scheduled for Sunday at Çalış Beach. Local officials, including Muğla Governor İdris Akbıyık and representatives from the Turkish Aeronautical Association, attended the opening.

To support international promotion, Turkish journalists working across Europe—including representatives from the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Austria—visited Fethiye Mayor Alim Karaca. These journalists intend to conduct live broadcasts and news coverage to promote Fethiye's tourism and the festival to wider European audiences.
