Făgăraș Mountains: Rescue operation for injured 25-year-old hiker

A 25-year-old tourist was rescued from the Făgăraș Mountains near Arpașul Mare after becoming unable to continue his journey. The individual, who was traveling alone from Moldoveanu Peak toward Bâlea Lac, reportedly suffered a possible leg sprain.

Rescue teams from Salvamont Argeș were deployed to provide first aid and stabilize the hiker before evacuation. While a SMURD helicopter was requested to assist with the operation, rescuers had to wait for an available aircraft. Weather conditions in the ridge area were reported as favorable for the ground teams.
