FIA releases 2026 Formula 1 race calendar
The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) has released the schedule for the 2026 Formula 1 season. The season is set to begin on March 8 in Melbourne, Australia, followed by races in Shanghai, China, and Suzuka, Japan.
The 2026 calendar features notable changes, including the removal of the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix. In its place, racing returns to Madrid on a new semi-permanent street circuit called the Madring, which will host the Spanish Grand Prix. The existing Barcelona race will continue but will be renamed the Grand Prix of Barcelona, eventually moving to a rotation model with Spa-Francorchamps starting in 2027.
