Eric Boullier appointed CEO of new WRC promoter after FIA long‑term commercial rights deal

The Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) announced a landmark long‑term commercial rights agreement for the World Rally Championship (WRC) and European Rally Championship (ERC). The commercial rights were transferred to French automotive‑technology platform Cosmobilis and private‑credit investor Park Square Capital following their acquisition of WRC Promoter GmbH. The FIA described the transaction as the biggest commercial agreement in the history of the two championships. FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem said the deal will bring significant new investment and strengthen the sport’s portfolio. Former Formula 1 team principal Éric Boullier was appointed chief executive officer of the newly owned promoter. New technical regulations are slated for 2027 to cut costs, improve safety and increase competition, and the FIA will set up a Growth Fund to support rally development at all levels. The agreement is intended to expand the global audience, enhance the fan experience and raise the visibility of the WRC and ERC worldwide.
