Fiat begins Argo X production in Betim, Brazil
Fiat has commenced production of the Argo X at the Stellantis plant in Betim, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The vehicle is scheduled for commercial launch in mid-November 2026.
The Argo X debuts the CMP platform at the Betim facility, an architecture intended to underpin future models including new generations of the Pulse, Fastback, Mobi, and Strada.
Safety features are a primary focus for the new model, which will include six airbags as standard across all versions. Entry-level Drive models will feature autonomous emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and fatigue monitoring. Higher trims will include additional technology such as traffic sign recognition and automatic high-beam switching.
Mechanical configurations include a 1.0 Firefly engine paired with a five-speed manual transmission, as well as a 1.0 Turbo Flex engine utilizing 12V mild-hybrid (MHEV) technology paired with a CVT transmission. For regional markets such as Argentina, different engine options like the 1.3 Firefly and 120 CV T200 may be made available.
