Fiat unveils Multiplina and Multiplay electric vehicle concepts
At the Paris Motor Show, Fiat presented two new electric vehicle concepts aimed at urban mobility: the Multiplina and the Multiplay.
The Multiplina is a compact electric concept designed as a ‘Multi-Purpose Quadricycle’ using the L7 heavy quadricycle architecture. Measuring just 3.04 meters in length, 1.40 meters in width, and 1.53 meters in height, it is designed to accommodate four passengers. The design draws inspiration from the historic 1956 Fiat 600 Multipla, featuring a two-tone body, an advanced windshield, and a distinctive front ‘mustache’ element. It is positioned as a practical solution for short daily trips, such as commuting or school runs, sitting between the ultra-compact Topolino and traditional passenger cars.
Alongside it, Fiat introduced the Multiplay concept, which focuses on modularity and versatility. The Multiplay utilizes a ‘Metamorfosi’ modular architecture, allowing the vehicle to adapt to different user needs. This includes a Passenger Command Mode for high-capacity family transport and a Commercial Use Mode that allows the vehicle to transform into a functional pickup truck through adjustable panels and sliding rear body covers.
