Fiat automotive lineup expansion and global strategy

Overview

Fiat is expanding its vehicle lineup through new model introductions and strategic shifts within the Stellantis group. The brand recently introduced the Grande Panda, a model built on the STLA Smart platform that offers both hybrid and fully electric powertrain options.

At the 2026 Paris Motor Show, Fiat unveiled the Grizzly and Grizzly Fastback, new C-segment SUV models designed for over 100 countries. The Grizzly, a seven-seat SUV, and the Fastback, a five-seat coupé-inspired model, will utilize the Smart Car platform and offer gasoline, mild hybrid, and electric powertrains. In Europe, orders for these models are expected to open on January 5, 2027, with starting prices estimated near 20,000 euros. These vehicles are also anticipated to serve as the basis for future generations of the Fiat Pulse and Fastback in markets such as Brazil.

Fiat also showcased concept vehicles to explore urban and family mobility. The Multiplina is an all-electric, ultra-compact heavy quadricycle measuring 3.04 meters, designed to bridge the gap between the Topolino and conventional passenger cars. The Multiplay concept is a 4.45-meter prototype that combines MPV, SUV, and pickup characteristics. It features a ‘Metamorfosi’ C-pillar design allowing the rear module to slide, transforming the vehicle from a 6+1 seat family configuration into a four-seat pickup with an open cargo bed. Both concepts draw inspiration from the historic 1956 Fiat 600 Multipla.
