Fiat expands Brazilian lineup with Argo X and Grizzly models
Fiat is expanding its product portfolio in Brazil with the introduction of the Argo X and the Grizzly. Production for the Argo X has already begun in Betim, Minas Gerais, with a commercial launch expected in December. Positioned above the standard Argo and below the Pulse, the Argo X is a new model rather than a facelift, utilizing the Smart Car platform. It is expected to offer a 1.0 aspirational engine for entry versions and a 1.0 mild hybrid turbo engine with 116 cv and a CVT gearbox for top-tier versions.
Additionally, the Fiat Grizzly, which will feature SUV and coupe body styles, is confirmed for assembly in Betim. The Grizzly is expected to coexist with the current Fastback model, occupying a higher market segment to allow the existing generation to remain as a more accessible option. The Grizzly lineup will include gasoline, mild hybrid, and fully electric variants, with the electric version capable of a 400 km range. Engine options for the Brazilian market include a 1.0 turbo mild hybrid with 116 cv and a 1.3 turbo with 176 cv.
