Fiat unveils Multiplina four-seater electric moped car
Fiat has unveiled the Multiplina, a new four-seater moped car designed to provide an affordable electric mobility solution. Debuted at the Paris Motor Show, the vehicle is expected to enter the market in early 2028.
Classified under the L7 category, the Multiplina will be larger than the two-seat Fiat Topolino, measuring approximately 3 meters in length. It features a 2+2 seating configuration and is designed to accommodate up to three children for school transport. While the L7 classification limits the motor to 20 horsepower and a top speed of 90 km/h, it will require a standard B-class driver's license rather than the AM category.
The design draws inspiration from the Nuova 500 of the 1950s and takes its name from the original 600 Multipla. The vehicle is expected to utilize a steel frame with a plastic body and will feature a significantly larger battery than the Topolino to facilitate commuting rather than just urban driving.
