Fidelity Bank Feeds 1,000 IDPs in Nigeria's Plateau State

Fidelity Bank Plc delivered food parcels containing rice, noodles and tomatoes to more than 1,000 internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State, Nigeria. The distribution was carried out under the bank's Fidelity Food Bank Initiative in partnership with the Plateau State Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Office and the ABBASID Charity Foundation.

Dr. Meksley Nwagboh, Divisional Head of Brand and Communications at Fidelity Bank, said the initiative aims to relieve hunger and support vulnerable groups across the country. Project Coordinator Nanbam Danjuma‑Lot of the Plateau State SDGs Office highlighted that the families in the transit camps continue to face hardship following recent attacks and destruction, underscoring the timeliness of the assistance. The effort forms part of Fidelity Bank's corporate social responsibility programme targeting food insecurity and the welfare of underserved communities.
