Fidelity Bank Plc has distributed food supplies to more than 2,500 beneficiaries across eight communities in Uromi and Irrua, Edo State. The intervention was conducted under the bank’s Fidelity Food Bank initiative at the Uromi Town Hall in the Esan Central Local Government Area.

Dr. Meksley Nwagboh, the bank’s Divisional Head of Brand and Communications, stated that the initiative aims to provide immediate support while strengthening community resilience and contributing to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2, which focuses on ending hunger and improving nutrition.

The bank reports that it distributes 10,000 food packs every month through the Fidelity Food Bank programme, collaborating with 19 partners across Nigeria to reach communities in need. The Edo State Government commended the bank for the initiative.
