Field Medical Foundation delivers aid to displaced families in Yemen

The Field Medical Foundation (FMF) has distributed emergency humanitarian aid to 439 displaced families in the Aden and Abyan governorates of Yemen. This intervention was conducted through the Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM) to address the growing needs of families recently displaced by developments in Taiz, Al Hudaydah, and along the West Coast.

In Aden, relief packages were provided to 235 families at Al-Firdous camp and various displacement sites. In Abyan, aid reached 204 families across several locations, including Al-Nuba camp and Wadi Al-Qarnaa. The RRM aims to reach families within 24 to 72 hours of displacement to provide life-saving assistance.

The operation is led by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in partnership with UNICEF and the World Food Programme (WFP), implemented by the FMF, and supported by the European Union.
