Tirana and Prishtina authorities launch major criminal investigations
In Tirana, the prosecution has requested the arrest of singer Jozefin Marku and Kristjan Nikolli following an alleged assault on 26-year-old Eduard Kuçi. The incident reportedly stemmed from social media insults. Marku faces charges of unlawful deprivation of liberty, while Nikolli is accused of supporting a criminal authority and illegal possession of weapons and ammunition. Police seized a Land Rover and ammunition during the investigation.
In Prishtina, five individuals have been arrested for their suspected involvement in a 1.5 million euro property fraud in Fushë Kosovë. The suspects are accused of abusing their official positions to provide fraudulent ownership documents for a 2-hectare plot. The scheme allegedly involved an attempt to sell the property using falsified documents. The investigation is being conducted by the Basic Prosecution in Prishtina in coordination with the Kosovo Police.
