FIFA 2030 World Cup final venue decision expected in 2028

FIFA is expected to announce the venue for the 2030 World Cup final in 2028. The tournament will be jointly hosted by Spain, Portugal, and Morocco, with 104 matches distributed across the three nations.

Three stadiums have emerged as the primary contenders for the final match: Barcelona’s Spotify Camp Nou, Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu, and Morocco’s Hassan II Stadium near Casablanca. The Hassan II Stadium is currently under construction and is projected to have a capacity of approximately 115,000 spectators, potentially making it one of the largest in the world.

While the Royal Spanish Football Federation has expressed confidence in a Spanish venue, the competition remains open. The Spotify Camp Nou is noted for its high capacity of 105,000 and its potential to host major events, having been recognized by UEFA to host the Champions League final in 2029.
