FIFA sanctions Bravos de Ciudad Juárez, halting all player signings

The FIFA Transfer Matching System placed Club Bravos de Ciudad Juárez on its registration‑ban list on 27 July, preventing the team from registering any new players until the sanction is lifted. The exact cause was not disclosed, but FIFA typically imposes such measures for unpaid debts or breaches of contractual rules. As a result, a rumored transfer of midfielder Rodrigo Dourado from América was cancelled, and the club cannot add any other domestic or foreign players.

The ban comes as the Bravos struggle in the Liga MX Apertura 2026, sitting at the bottom of the table after three defeats, including a 1‑5 loss to Pumas. Earlier in the market they managed only free signings of Lucas Romero and Said Godínez before the sanction took effect. The club previously faced a similar registration ban in April 2024, which was resolved within a month.
