FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup remains on schedule amid FIFA-UEFA dispute

The FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland, scheduled for September 5–27, 2026, remains on track despite an escalating institutional crisis between FIFA and UEFA. While all 55 UEFA member associations have expressed the possibility of withholding participation from FIFA tournaments due to disputes over commercial rights, no official withdrawals have been recorded.

New Zealand Football has confirmed that its Women’s U-20 National Team will travel to Poland, emphasizing the tournament's importance for player development. France has also publicly confirmed its intention to compete. The Polish Football Association stated that preparations are in their final phase and they have received no official notices of withdrawal from any of the 24 qualified national teams.
