Filip Chytil placed on injured reserve by Vancouver Canucks

The Vancouver Canucks have placed center Filip Chytil on injured reserve, retroactive to September 24, following a preseason game against the Edmonton Oilers. The injury occurred during the first period when Chytil collided with referee Riley Brace, causing him to fall headfirst into the boards.

General manager Ryan Johnson stated that Chytil is dealing with a “more of a muscular strain” on his shoulder rather than a more severe injury. The player is currently considered week-to-week, though he is not expected to be ready for the start of the regular season.
