Der perfekte Urlaub film premiere in Munich

The sequel to the 2019 hit “Das perfekte Geheimnis” (The Perfect Secret) held its world premiere at the Mathäser Filmpalast in Munich. Directed by Bora Dagtekin, the new comedy “Der perfekte Urlaub” (The Perfect Vacation) follows the same ensemble of friends as they attempt a trip to Mallorca.

Set seven years after the events of the first film, the story explores whether the group can maintain their friendships following the exposure of their secrets. The plot involves the group staying in the same villa, which subsequently catches fire, forcing them into a club hotel. The film features a prominent cast including Elyas M’Barek, Karoline Herfurth, Florian David Fitz, Frederick Lau, Wotan Wilke Möhring, Jessica Schwarz, and Jella Haase.

While the premiere saw some reportedly reserved applause from the audience, the production aims to continue the success of the original, which drew over five million viewers. The film is scheduled for a nationwide theatrical release in Germany and Austria on October 22.
